I’m Officially an Uncle!

The day is finally here and my nephew, Hunter Scott Boka has arrived. Welcome to the world little guy! I can’t wait to meet you in person.

New Year, New Family Member

A big congratulations to my brother, Scott, and an even bigger congratulations to my sister in law, Kim! Hunter is here and all the fun that comes with a newborn. I always thought that once my nephew arrived, I’d be there to introduce myself but since the COVID virus is still kicking around I’m not sure when I’ll be able to meet him. I’ll just have to make it up to Hunter when the dust settles!

To The Future

I’m looking forward to seeing the cousins get together. I’m glad our mom will have a grandbaby closer to her. I’m excited to see the father my brother will become. Being a father had changed me so much over the last 4 years and I’m sure it will have the same impact on my brother.

For The New Dads

I’m not an expert, I’m just another dad doing his best. Take the following words however you need to take them.

You are about to embark on a rite of passage like none other. You are responsible for keeping another human being alive and well taken care of. Every decision you make, every action you take or don’t take, every word you say or don’t say, will be picked up by your baby. Do the right thing. Do your best. Fatherhood is a journey and you’re not going to know all the answers, THAT IS OKAY. Ask for help if you need it. You are not alone.

Keep Calm

Kids are sponges. They will pick up everything. Everything.
